Good God, Geoff ! Just how bloody old are you ?

You were in "Nam when I were a lad in Borneo - please tell me you weren't the oldest conscript in Oz - it must have been knowledge gleaned at your Father's knee. Surely to Heaven, having seen all the film footage surely it was all dope and The Doors ? Either that or you really are a boring, unreconstituted neanderthal ! :D

I served in "Nam, you know. That's Cheltenham, not Viet-Nam !!!!!!!!! :geek:

As Dave says, he has not been reconstituted.

A QUIZ

Congratulations, Alan. :D As I've said before, you should be on Mastermind, I think you have won every quiz so far. Do you work as a researcher for Guiness by any chance?

Oi, watch it, Hughsie, who are you calling a bloody Neanderthal.
Drugs and The Doors...half right, never saw, heard of or smelled any weed over there, mate. Remember "the' song was "Gotta Get Outa This Place" was all the rage as was Nancy's "These Boots".
Who are you calling old? I was born after the war...WW2 to stop any goons going on about Boer and Crimea. Click over another mile on Tuesday which I will celebrate with a sing-along and a cuppa down at The Happy Haven rest home....that'll be the bloody day, how about a long boozy lunch with a few mates. :( I'll let them argue who's company AMEX its going on. 8-)
No doubt the next day I will look like Richards photo of me. But, what the heck...... :!:

Wonder what happened to our collection of old 78's...

One of my favourites was Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree (was that how it's spelt?) reciting 'The Charge of the Light Brigade'...

Ah Geoff - the mis-spent youth ! Sunshine, monsoons, heavy metal that didn't involve music but certainly made you get down and get with it !
Sorry Uncle Geoff - when I said neanderthal I didn't realise there was an Australian who related to it :D
Let's face it - unless you count the indigenous population, Australia didn't start until the Royal Navy had a barbeque in an inlet and thought "What a wonderful place to build a bridge made in England and modelled on Newcastle !"
Did I ever tell you about playing footie against Bayswater ? Beat 'em 2-0 but they drank us silly afterwards ! :geek:
