A question ......

..... but not a question from me.
I went to a friend's house the other evening - okay, there's usually a glass of red or a gin and tonic in it - and she had just picked her six-year old grand-daughter up from school.
It must be the time of year as she had obviously been listening to a reading of Peter Pan because her words - astute little - that she is - were, "Before the crocodile bit his hand off, what was Captain Hook called?"
Any answers ?

I know his proper name is james Hook.

I've never heard any reference to what he was called before the crocodile bit his hand off. Presumably still James Hook
