I am continuing with the task of scanning about 10,000 old photos. Since I am stupid, I did not label any of the packets, either with the subject or even the year. Help needed:

1. Which ship?
2. A free Mythos for anyone who can identify the place.

Looks a bit too chunky for the Symi 2:

I don't think the captain's wife was Mabel so it looks to me a bit like the Panormitis.

Yes, it was in Skopelos and I didn't know that ANES ships ever went there.

Won't be the Panormitis then. Wrong century.

Did Anes have the blue and yellow livery in 1997?

Agreed, the Panormitis was long gone by then. I think the southern Dodecanese run was in the hands of ANEK and the Nissos Kalymnos at that time.

Not that this helps Richard identify the boat in his photo. I doubt that ANES has the copyright over blue and yellow (sea and sun/sky and sun)livery but not being a visitor to the Sporades I'm afraid I can't help.

Can't go back to 1997, our first year 98 and that was Symi 1. Will have to look at some pictures from that year to compare, what a great way to spend an hour or 2, reliving our first visit to Symi.

Never mind the ship - what the heck were you doing photographing a pre-pubescent Jabba the Hutt and his twin sister and using the boat as a backdrop ! 8-)

No, Skopelos, not Tatooine. I think they were trying to hide at the time.
